I don't know if this ever happens to you but I know I do it all the time. I plan something big and then, every passing minute, hour, day or week seems interminable. It's like I'm sitting on a park bench staring at my shoes, waiting for this thing to happen, but the whole time I'm not paying attention to the lady who's asking me for directions, or the guy playing the violin, or the kids playing hide and seek. I'm so focused on my excitement, on the goal, that I forget to get excited about the things happening all around me. I forget to interact with my surroundings, and by doing that, I let all the moments, all the opportunities fly by.
Every day is a little bit like that for me. I wake up in the morning thinking about lunch. I go to lunch thinking about dinner. I go to work thinking about what I'm going to do after work. I go to bed wondering what I'll be having for breakfast. With the exception of these big moments, these big plans, I forget to pay attention to today. I forget to pay attention to the little details.
I've gotten better at noticing the details though. I credit that to my yoga practice, my therapy sessions, and my will to change.
Lotus Ink is one of my many moments.
It's the platform, brand, and image that will continue to grow as my passions and interests do, no matter where I may be in the world. The goal is simple: keep track of my work, my interests, and my experiences all in one place.
p.s. If you're wondering who that is in the picture, it's mini yogi me (Mym) and the fur-ball playing with the strap is mini evil yogi kitten overlord (Meyko). Through them, I'll illustrate my travels, thoughts, experiences, and pretty much anything that crosses my mind.
